These forklift extension are made of high strength steel and are meant to used to extend the reach of existing forks. Forklift fork extensions work by slipping over the existing forks.

  How to correctly size the fork lift extensions: These extension will fit forks up to 2" in thickness. Actual inside width is 1/2" wider than stated so if your forks are 4" wide then you should buy 4" wide extensions.

  Safety Issue: OSHA regulations state that the length of the fork extensions may not exceed over one-half the length of the existing forks. If the existing fork is 48" then the fork extension cannot exceed 72".
