Aluminum Wheel Chocks
To
use the aluminum wheel chocks, during loading or
unloading or whenever the vehicle is stopped is
relatively a simple process. First determine the type
of chocks you have, folding or unfolding. If you have
folding chocks you will need to first assemble those
before using them. If non-folding, then you only need
to stop the vehicle completely, apply the
vehicles' emergency brakes (for added
precautions) bring wheel chocks to the vehicle wheels
and place them under the tires. In the case of a
tractor trailer the wheel chocks can be placed
between the tires or underneath the tires. For
removal, you can move the vehicle forward few inches
and simply pick up the aluminum wheel chocks, if they
are under the wheels and place them back in the
vehicle or storage area.
In most states the use of wheel chocks are required
by law, for larger trucks and semi tractor trailers.
During loading and unloading and when stopped on a
highway shoulder. Aluminum wheel chocks abide with
state laws while presenting the most reliable
protection against a rolling vehicle.
